Exterior of adding some fresh minced garlic, I prepared this following the recipe closely. And we enjoyed the heck out of it. Sometimes things don't demand a whole lot of explanation or assay. This is ane of those times. Information technology works. (I used No Name Sirloin Steaks, baby bok choy and basmati rice. Hubs fabricated "Cucumber Sunomono" to become with - delicious )

Perfect for weekdays. Fix night before so all you have to exercise side by side mean solar day is melt information technology. A few things I did other than recipe chosen for: 1) Marinate Beef overnight in salt, pepper, minced ginger. ii) Cut up all veggies night before. Placed all veggies together in ziplock bag in fridge. 3) Mixed sauce night before and added red pepper flakes to add together spice. I browned the beefiness with the ginger that I marinated with. It added that "japanese" flavor that I was looking for. Enjoy!

YUMYY! I didn't have shitake mushrooms on hand so I just used regular button mushrooms. This was a big hit! Volition brand once again!
12/06/2011
Fabulous! Even my pickiest kid loved it! Marinated the meat in 1cup soy, 2TBS chopped garlic, and 1/4cup lemon juice. Tenderizes the meat nicely.
11/05/2012
It looked very dainty. Information technology wasn't an overly heady flavor, only the sauce was pretty strong/salty. I should have followed some of the other suggestions to cut down the soy sauce and add some ginger.
05/01/2010
This recipe was elementary, easy but taste amazing. I even screwed upwards and forgot to add the broth and it still turned out amazing.
02/24/2010
this was very good, however i made it easy on myself and used frozen stir fry vegs.
02/06/2010
Lovely recipe. Very easy to do. All I would alter, mayhap, is the Beefiness goop to oxtail soul and maybe add together a tablespoon of oyster sauce. Hat'due south off to Campbell kitchen for this dish!!
08/06/2011
I plant this recipe looking up healthier beefiness recipes on Allrecipes. It tasted pretty proficient, only male child was information technology time consuming! I actually cut up all the vegetables and sliced the meat before in the day because I was going to be busy in the evening. Half the meat and vegetables had to be cooked at a time, as suggested, which made it a little messy and dirtied more dishes than necessary. The end outcome strangely reminded me a little bit of the flavor of chop suey. I definitely will try buying the sirloin as suggested. I thought it was way more tender than round steak. I besides don't ever apply bok choy and then that was an interesting addition I had not thought of. Overall it was merely too much time in the kitchen, for my normal quick stir fry recipes, only it surprisingly was much better than what I would expect from a healthier beefiness dish.
01/09/2012
This was a nice stir fry. I prepped all of the ingredients the day before (thawed/sliced/marinated beef and chopped all of the veggies) then it was a much smoother weeknight meal. Post-obit the communication of fellow reviewers, I marinated the beef in a soy/lemon juice/garlic marinade to ensure the meat would be tender and it really added a dainty flavor to the beef. I followed the rest of the recipe, relieve two ingredients: our local grocery shop doesn't carry bok choy, so I used green cabbage and I Hate celery, so I left that out. I'k lazy, so I added all of the beef at in one case, then removed it and took care of the veggies. I didn't experience similar removing the veggies, so I removed the pan from the heat and heated the sauce in the small saucepan, then added the sauce/meat to the veggies and stirred. I served this over brownish rice. four stars because this is crazy salty, and I used reduced sodium soy sauce. And I love salt. Oh yeah, I also added a chip of sesame oil to the oil (and I reduced information technology to 1T) to give it a chip more of an Asian flair than just the proper name :)
03/28/2010
i made this today. i omitted mushrooms and used less soy sauce. i will make this once again. tasty recipe
04/02/2012
Wow! I've had a lot of home fabricated stir-fries in my day, and all were okay, but never anything impressive. But THIS recipe is amazing! Even my husband who really isn't much of an Asian food fan went back for seconds! I fabricated the recipe as Directed except: I used marinated tofu in identify of beef to make it vegan (my god was it yummy), and i added two cloves of galic and a 1" finely chopped piece of effectively right before I sautéed the veggies. It was quite saucy, merely I'm a saucy lady and then information technology didn't bother me whatever :D
04/08/2011
bully recipe!!!! i loved information technology. It felt similar I was eating at a fancy asian eating place....but fifty-fifty amend!!!!! and I cooked information technology all by myself!!!!!
02/22/2010
we actually enjoyed this dish. I didn't take every bit much meat or mushrooms as it chosen, or all the red peppers. Used a light-green and red pepper instead, as well information technology seemed that the whole bok choy was besides much, but in the stop it was definately worth it. Very yummy and flavorful
xi/19/2011
I thought the sauce was a little strong and would cut back some on the soy sauce. I added a frozen purse of stir fry veggies and information technology was nice.
10/23/2012

09/24/2014
Good with any veg is on mitt
10/11/2014
Recipe is easy to make. I personally used half ingredients only sauce amount was used as instructed. I ended up using a fiddling more sauce than half. It was expert but, for my taste buds sauce was a bit strong on the soy part. However my married man loved it said, "that's the way it's supposed to taste". I will definitely save recipe just make some adjustments next time.
02/05/2013
I made this last night. I did use different veggies (broccali, carrots, and snowfall peas due to preference) but I kept everything else the aforementioned. I too seasoning the beef with garlic power and blackness pepper. Wonderful. My married man and grown kids loved information technology and it made a great portion. I'm looking forwards to the leftovers. Thanks for sharing.

03/29/2011
Actually delicious! My husband raved about it. I made it without all the vegetables because information technology seemed like there was going to be also many as I was chopping them up. After all was said and washed, yet, I regretted it because there seemed to be too few. So my communication would be to follow the recipe as is. You won't regret it!
03/03/2012
Very tasty. Beefiness should be cut thinner, and could use a piffling less soy sauce.
01/12/2015
This was good, merely the prep was a solid 45 minutes. For that much piece of work, I was bummed that it ended upwardly tasting similar good Chinese takeout in brown sauce, and this costs a lot more than. I definitely didn't slice the beefiness thin enough, but otherwise followed the recipe to a T. May or may not make over again.
09/sixteen/2014
This was so delicious, fun and like shooting fish in a barrel to make. My swain is vegetarian, so nosotros stir fried diced tofu and used vegetable broth. Nosotros also used most double the garlic (we're garlic fiends), and sushi rice instead of regular long grain. The stickiness of the rice mixed with the sauce and shiitake mushrooms completely made the dish; nosotros will definitely be making this again!
06/07/2012
Very tasty, and we liked the bok choy! I will say that I didn't have any condensed beef broth on hand, and have never even seen it, so I added double the bullion to the goop I made. It was a little too heavy on the salt. I don't recommend it. Despite that, information technology was still really tasty.
11/14/2014
Crawly! It needs/needed something more than with seasonings. I cooked the meat in two cloves of garlic. I also added sesame seeds and garlic and onion powder at the end. Would take loved to add some fresh or powdered ginger, but could'nt find any. :( Bang-up recipe! Family loved information technology! Cheers then much for sharing!
04/14/2012
This was very good. I didn't have cabbage, so I left it out and increased vegetables.
07/09/2014

09/17/2014

Very expert. I would make this again.
12/xiii/2014
Made this for dinner. Nosotros ended up non eating the sauce at all. It was fashion to salty.
07/26/2012
This is SOOOO delicious! I've made information technology with both steak and chicken and much prefer the chicken. I add garlic, use a handbag of frozen stir fry veggies in addition to the mushrooms and bok choy, and omit the celery and green onions. The sauce is perfect - don't alter a matter! I don't carp removing the meat/veggies from the pan between steps or work in batches. It's not necessary if you have a large enough pot.
01/08/2015
I liked it. Though I did add a few things. Felt it needed garlic and pepper which I added and it improved the season. Thanks for posted. I served it over noodles
01/24/2015

03/15/2012
I had some bok choy that I got in my Bountiful Basket and me nor my family had e'er eaten it. I found this recipe and decided to try information technology and we loved it so much that we fabricated information technology again and once more and again. We at present bok choy regularly. It's really succulent. It's a little fourth dimension consuming chopping all those veggies (I chop by hand. My Grandma taught me food only taste better if you put your claret, sweat, and tears in it.) merely well worth information technology.
03/09/2012
This was wonderful! Husband and I actually enjoyed. Unfortunately didn't accept the bok choy and volition definitely add next time only even without it, the dish was definitely a keeper!
09/03/2014
This was easy and succulent. I switched up the veggies a bit and used thin cut carrots, and a dark-green pepper instead of the mushrooms and celery. My married man and I loved information technology only my 5 year olds were not thrilled with information technology, although they did eat information technology at least!
04/03/2012
Not a big stir fry fan" but had a record Bok Choy crop coming out of the garden so decided to give information technology a try. Hubby and girl love stir fry! WOW! I loved it! I cut recipe downwards to four servings as there are simply iii in the family unit. We ate it and the daughter finished the leftovers the next day. The crew did accept one comment other then, WOW! Next time, don't half the recipe. We demand more than leftovers!
04/08/2013
all-time stir fry I've fabricated at dwelling! Cheers for sharing
10/nineteen/2012
Great dinner for the whole family unit. Took time to prep, simply worth it to me, who LOVES asian foods. We have institute ourselves ordering in a lot on Fri nights lately, which is fine, merely why not brand it a home cooked repast once in a while that we all tin can help out with? ~ I added a nuance of fresh pressed ginger to the pork (nosotros used pork since it was what we had on hand) and it was great. Volition make over again.
12/xvi/2013
This was surprisingly easy to make and very good too. All my picky's ate this dish, and so I know I volition brand it over again. I was fresh out of Chinese cabbage, then I substituted broccoli for a delicious dinner.
11/25/2012
I added 2 cloves garlic, i teaspoon pressed ginger, substituted seasame oil for vegetable - left out cabbage and substituted green peppers & snap peas. Yum!!!
07/17/2012
The flavour was great. Merely it was very saucy every bit written. Side by side time I will make 1/3 the sauce. I marinated the beef for 8 hours in soy sauce, lemon juice and garlic. I also froze the beef for an hour earlier cutting in to make it easier to slice thin.
09/21/2020
This recipe was absolutely the all-time stir fry I take ever made. MDis not apply
01/17/2012
This was a corking stir-fry, what really fabricated it was the combination of veggies!! In the grocery, I noticed there was bok choy and Chinese cabbage, two dissimilar kinds of vegetables. I used the bok choy, and it was wonderful. I would suggest using low-sodium beefiness broth and low sodium soy sauce because the sauce was very salty so I ended up not using as much as the recipe called for since I didn't have the low sodium versions.
08/22/2011
This was then good!! I used sesame oil, and left out the veggies we don't like. I unremarkably brand a dish, and so immediately beginning making plans for what I'll change next time. With this, I had no changes for adjacent time. And side by side time will be presently!
03/13/2012
I only used the broth recipe, and used chicken broth instead of beefiness, but information technology was actually good. Dainty consistency and information technology gave the extra flavor/sauce needed with my craven and veggie stir fry over white rice.
04/fourteen/2014
Wish I would have marinated my meat beforehand, merely WOW was this tasty! My kitchen smelled like a Japanese steakhouse! I didn't have beefiness broth, so I used chicken broth instead. Added minced garlic and a splash or ii of lemon juice to the meat as it was cooking. Also used the veggies I had on hand: Dark-green cabbage, celery, green peppers, and zucchini. This is definitely a recipe that tin can be altered to fit your tastes!
02/28/2018
wow! great all the way!
03/28/2012
I really enjoyed this recipe. The sauce was flavorful and like shooting fish in a barrel to brand and it incorporated a ton of groovy healthy vegetables. The recipe is extremely versatile to allow for calculation whatever you've got in your veggie drawer.
x/ten/2013
Used 3.6 pounds of sparse-sliced flank steak, 2 cups of beef stock made with Better than Boullion, 1 loving cup of soy sauce, two onions, ii cloves of garlic, a whole red pepper, and @ 6 oz. sliced button mushrooms. It was astonishing, and made plenty for dinner for 3 nights.
05/xxx/2012
Very good! Even our picky toddler liked it. I added 2T chopped garlic and 1T fresh grated ginger, right before the sauce is added (cooked them well-nigh 2min) and added extra veggies (snap peas were a great add-on) Next time I'll endeavor a reduced beef stock or burgoo though every bit I didn't like the canned gustation.
10/25/2012
very good, i just used a bag of frozen stir fry veggies
03/17/2012
Splendid dish. Gustation similar an accurate Japanese repast that I have at a restaurant merely this one is meliorate. I omitted the mushrooms and celery and used a flake less soy sauce. Information technology'southward important to follow the instructions correctly and it will be amazing.
03/07/2011
I don't know what I did incorrect but mine never thickened, none the less the flavor was great and will make again.
12/08/2011
Doesn't smell stir-fry until its done, but it gustation great! we just used normal mushrooms and normal cabbage. This recipe makes a LOT more than we expected, they must be feeding football players or something. Definitely add the garlic!
03/14/2012
This was very good! Adjacent time I will marinade the beef over night & information technology volition probably be 6 stars. I'll also try adding a little ginger. Volition definitely make again.

07/twenty/2020

07/07/2013

02/16/2016
Made this for my hubby and I and it was absolutely succulent. I made merely two mods to it that's information technology. Instead of beef I used chicken and instead of condensed beef broth I used mushroom base of operations (to me information technology just tastes so much ameliorate) and so followed the recipe every bit written. At that place was no need for me to add any salt and pepper equally the mushroom base and soy did the job. I never always hear anything from my hubby when he's eating dinner with me (in terms of gustation) so when I heard "Mmmm, this is a good dinner" it was adamant I go out a great review for the owner of this recipe (not to mention that I felt fabulous for making something he liked!!) Thank you so much for sharing. I'm definitely making this again and once again and again. Crawly!
08/07/2015
Loved this! Restaurant quality meal. However, I added a few actress veggies though: broccoli, infant corn, carrots slices, bamboo chutes, light-green bell pepper, orange bell pepper, and yellow onions. I too substituted dark-brown rice for white rice and simply used the bell peppers instead of red peppers. Likewise added 3 tablespoons of freshly minced ginger to the sauce. So fabled.
09/01/2012
I made this for my boyfriend and he really liked information technology! this tastes so proficient.
01/xiv/2017
Used depression common salt goop and soy sauce per other reviewers and added a variety of other veggies and was very happy with the results.
12/17/2013
very good. conscientious, the sauce thickens very quick.
01/03/2013
This recipe was amazing. However substituting the rice with rice noodles fabricated it even better. Also shiitake mushrooms are unavailable where I alive for the most part, but regular mushrooms did just fine. A hint of fresh garlic and simply a pinch of ginger made this a favorite for me.
04/xviii/2017
I didn't have condensed beefiness broth then I improvised with beefiness bouillon and water to what I estimated it would exist. I added minced garlic to the meat every bit it was cooking. I also used frozen stir fry veggies and it turned out great!
07/22/2020

02/28/2014
NO Demand FOR CHINESE TAKE OUT!! I accept made this recipe iii times at present and each fourth dimension information technology gets improve and amend! I add together water chestnuts and broccoli and a teaspoon of minced garlic. I also apply depression-sodium soy sauce. I eliminate the celery and the cabbage for personal taste preference. I beloved how the sauce thickens up at the stop. I would strongly recommend using a good quality meat and when yous brownish it do not cook it thru, otherwise past the fourth dimension you serve the meal the meat will be likewise dry and lose its taste. So fast and easy to brand even the kids clean their plates!
04/xxx/2021
Delicious! I'chiliad wondering if this can be adjusted to chicken equally well.
06/03/2021
This is a very tasty. Nosotros relish it a lot. I do add a garlic , and any vegetables in the house at the time, that need to go used, but sure don't need too. It's really expert! Nosotros like it on jasmine rice.
12/20/2020
Mode too salty
05/19/2020

08/xiii/2014
Very tasty! The just additions were crushed garlic and white pepper served with yakisoba noodles instead of rice. Will definitely make this again!
04/24/2018

Really good! Added fresh garlic and some fresh minced ginger - Yum!
02/22/2014

08/09/2018
It's all about the sauce! I didn't have any of the veggies on mitt so I improvised with carrots and frozen green beans, it was corking. I besides added cubed tofu and it was really skillful. Volition definitely be making this again! :)
01/ten/2013
Melt onion with beefiness Slice beef into bite size pieces We added broccoli, carrots, chili peppers, water chestnuts, bean sprouts. We did not use cabbage.
03/09/2013
This was a delicious recipe! I used chicken instead of beefiness, and it worked out perfectly. The only thing I felt was defective was something crunchy; peanuts or water chestnuts might be a skilful addition.
08/xx/2012
I tried this for the first time..but only had a scattering of veggies on hand. Green, red and xanthous peppers. Cremini mushrooms, and onions. Instead of beef I used thinly sliced pork chops..cooked ahead of time and sliced into strips. The sauce is amazing! My son loved it, equally did I. I will definitely brand this again..changing information technology up a bit with different, healthier options. Might even try throwing in a bit of quinio for something different. For the rice, I used pre flavoured rice, which added a little bit of a kick.
07/20/2015
prep took a long time prob due to lack of experience end outcome was amazing... used only about 1/4 of a bok choy and I thought information technology was plenty peachy and tasty recipe
06/22/2015
I should've marinated the meat only I was looking for a low calorie stir fry that was quick. This has good flavor and is very easy to make even though the meat could be softer.
04/18/2015
Extremely salty! Would have been adept otherwise.
08/25/2013
Used 16oz bag of frozen 'asian mix veggies', nearly one loving cup of frozen chopped onions, and one loving cup of frozen chopped bell peppers. Also substituted beef with craven breast cut into thin strips, and chicken broth (made from a bouillon cube). Didnt accept cornstarch, so based on the internet - I substituted with double flour. Everything came out fantastic! I loved it! But information technology did make a *lot* of sauce and it was pretty salty (I dear common salt, and so I dont listen really). In the future Ill probably use less soy sauce. Made a practiced amount too! Ill likely freeze into smaller portions since Im just myself. :)
02/22/2010
nosotros actually enjoyed this dish. I didn't have as much meat or mushrooms equally information technology chosen, or all the cerise peppers. Used a green and reddish pepper instead, also it seemed that the whole bok choy was likewise much, but in the cease it was definately worth it. Very yummy and flavorful
04/27/2017
This turned out delicious. I followed the recipe except I had beefiness stock instead of vegetable stock. Nosotros thought it was a great blend of flavors.
07/11/2014
Easy to make on weeknights if you're in the mood for stir-fry! The recipe is very versatile; you tin can sub the meat for tofu (or get rid of it entirely if you want) and sub the veggies for whatsoever that you take. The sauce is very easy to make and even better the next mean solar day. Highly recommend if yous're in the mood to make something quick.
